Lead human resources strategy at the Town of Bonnyville, applying HR leadership and employment legislation expertise from Bonnyville Town Hall. This permanent, full-time position supports senior leadership and organizational growth.

Reporting to the General Manager of Corporate Services, the Human Resources Director serves as the Town’s independent HR leader. You will manage HR processes, advise leaders, and strengthen operational excellence through continuous improvement. The work spans recruitment, labour relations, investigations, benefits, policy, and workforce planning.

Key Responsibilities:

- Interpret policies and advise leaders on performance management
- Manage union relationships, grievances, and workplace investigations
- Execute recruitment and standardized onboarding programs
- Administer perks,



disability, WCB, and LAPP programs
- Draft compliant policies and optimize HR software workflows

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and extensive experience
- CPHR designation in good standing
- Minimum five years of HR generalist or management experience
- Experience with collective bargaining and workforce planning
- Knowledge of Alberta employment, labour, human rights, and privacy legislation
