Registered Dietitians provide resident nutrition and hydration care at Extendicare, using assessment, care planning, documentation, and counseling skills full time.

This Registered Dietitian role supports residents in long term care through ongoing nutrition and hydration management. You will assess status, identify risks, develop individualized plans, and coordinate follow up care. The position also includes staff education, menu approval, interdisciplinary collaboration, and quality improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

- Assess resident nutrition status on admission, annually, and after changes
- Determine nutrition and hydration risks and recommend interventions
- Develop, evaluate, and modify nutrition plans of care
- Document resident nutrition care according to regulatory standards




- Provide counseling and education to residents and caregivers

Requirements:

- University degree in Food and Nutrition
- Current registration with the applicable provincial College of Dietitians
- Solid communication, critical thinking, and care coordination skills
- Proficient Microsoft Office, Synergy, and Point Click Care skills
- Vulnerable Sector Check or willingness to obtain one
