Conexiom is evolving into an AI-first platform, eliminating the manual, error-prone commerce processes that slow manufacturers and distributors down. We're hiring a Senior Software Engineer to help design, build, and operate the customer-facing applications, intelligent services, and AI-powered workflows driving that shift. This isn't a traditional engineering role: you'll treat AI as a multiplier for both product capability and engineering productivity, applying modern AI models, agent frameworks, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) patterns to solve real business problems.
You’ll own production services across our Node.Js, TypeScript, Python, React, and Azure stack, working closely with Product Managers, Architects, Data Engineers, Designers, and fellow Software Engineers to ship scalable solutions for mission-critical processes at some of the world's leading manufacturers and distributors. In year one, success looks like: shipping AI-enabled features that measurably improve customer workflows, establishing patterns and best practices for reliable, secure AI-powered applications that other engineers adopt, and becoming a go-to technical mentor who raises the AI fluency of the broader engineering team. Designs and builds customer-facing features and platform services in Node.Js, TypeScript, and Python that apply modern AI models, agent frameworks, vector search, and RAG patterns to real business problems.
Evaluates emerging AI technologies and establishes patterns and best practices for reliable, secure, observable AI-powered applications. Owns the full lifecycle of production software — design, build, test, deploy, and operate — in a 24x7 SaaS workplace, including REST APIs, event-driven services, and cloud-native integrations. Diagnoses and resolves complex production issues and drives improvements to the scalability, reliability, and performance of existing systems.
Builds AI-assisted development into daily workflow and drives engineering productivity gains through automation, code generation, and testing acceleration. Shapes engineering standards for AI safety, governance, and responsible use, and raises the AI fluency of the broader engineering organization. Mentors intermediate and junior engineers and shapes technical direction through code review, architecture discussions, and sound judgment.
Partners with Product Management, Architects, Data Engineers, and Security teams on shared initiatives, and communicates technical tradeoffs clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including hands-on production work with Node.Js, TypeScript, and Python. Proven ability to design, build, and operate SaaS applications in production — including RESTful API design, cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP), and independently leading technical initiatives from design through deployment. Working knowledge of software architecture, distributed systems, security, observability, and reliability sufficient to make sound tradeoffs under production constraints.
Hands-on, daily use of modern AI development tools (GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, or similar) and experience integrating LLMs via APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Azure OpenAI, Google). Familiarity with agent frameworks, prompt engineering, retrieval patterns, and evaluation techniques.
Experience working in Agile software development environments.
Experience with Microsoft .NET and C#.
Experience with React and modern frontend development.
Experience with Azure AI services and the Microsoft AI ecosystem.
Experience with vector databases, embeddings, RAG implementations, or AI agent platforms.
Experience building enterprise automation, integration, ERP, or document-processing solutions. The work you do has a direct line to outcomes customers can measure, and teams you'll never meet will work better because of it. We're happy to help. #
