The Canadian Light Source Inc. seeks an Associate Scientist for SyLMAND, a synchrotron facility supporting micro-scale device fabrication. You will help users apply lithography and related processing technologies across scientific and technological applications. The work combines instrumentation, sample preparation, process development, and technical troubleshooting.

Key Responsibilities:

- Train users on safe SyLMAND beamline and equipment operation
- Prepare samples for ultraviolet and X-ray lithography processes
- Operate and maintain lithography systems and cleanroom equipment
- Support experimental planning, process development,



and troubleshooting
- Prepare technical documentation and user-support materials

Requirements:

- Relevant Master’s or Ph.D. in science or engineering
- Experience with lithography, photoresist patterning, or microfabrication
- Robust scientific instrumentation and experimental problem-solving aptitude
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Availability for evenings and weekends is required
