Lead exterior lighting development onsite using design release engineering, CAD, and automotive validation expertise. Support headlamps, tail lamps, fog lamps, and signaling devices.

This experienced Body Component Engineer or Exterior Lighting Design Release Engineer supports an automotive client throughout vehicle development. The position covers lighting components, PLM systems, GD&T;, and tolerance stack-ups. You will coordinate Styling, Packaging, Electrical, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and suppliers while meeting performance, cost, quality, and timing targets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead development, validation, and release of exterior lighting systems
- Own component design releases in Teamcenter, Windchill, or similar PLM systems
- Coordinate cross-functional teams and supplier development activities
- Drive DFMEA,



DVP&R;, testing, and engineering validation
- Resolve fit, function, durability, optics, thermal, and sealing issues

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering
- Three or more years in automotive exterior lighting or related systems
- Experience with design release engineering processes
- Familiarity with CATIA, NX, or similar CAD tools
- Knowledge of FMVSS 108, ECE, and automotive validation processes
