Senior Tax Manager – Asset Management Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Position: Full-Time, Permanent About the Opportunity An established skilled services firm is looking to add a Senior Tax Manager to its growing Asset Management Tax practice. This is an excellent opportunity to take on a leadership role, overseeing complex tax engagements for investment fund clients while developing strong client relationships and leading a team of tax professionals. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering Canadian and cross-border tax services, providing technical expertise and contributing to the continued growth of the practice.

Key Responsibilities Lead and oversee complex tax engagements for investment funds across the full tax lifecycle. Manage engagement planning, resource allocation, deadlines and overall service delivery. Review complex tax work and ensure accuracy, quality and compliance.

Provide technical guidance, coaching and mentorship to managers and junior team members. Oversee tax reporting and compliance, including fund distributions, Canadian tax requirements and US PFIC reporting.



Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.

Identify opportunities to improve processes, efficiencies and service delivery. Manage competing priorities, resolve technical challenges and proactively address engagement risks.

Qualifications &

Experience CPA designation. Minimum 7 years of experience in public accounting tax and/or the asset management or investment fund industry. Strong understanding of tax matters relating to investment funds and asset management.

Experience managing client engagements and leading or mentoring tax professionals. Strong technical review capabilities and the ability to provide guidance on complex tax matters. Excellent communication and client relationship management skills. Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. CPA In-Depth Tax Course considered an asset.
