Lead complex transmission line design in Calgary using PLS-CADD, AutoCAD, MicroStation, and advanced electrical engineering expertise. This full time position includes 50% travel.The Senior Transmission Engineer provides technical oversight from concept through completion for complex projects. You will guide design staff, apply transmission codes, and develop non-standard solutions.

The work includes conductor sizing, grounding, clearances, equipment specifications, and technical reporting.Key Responsibilities:

Lead transmission design from concept through design completionDirect conductor studies, grounding calculations, and electrical clearancesReview vendor drawings, production documents, and construction administrationPrepare budgets, estimates, proposals, reports,



and technical specificationsMentor engineers and coordinate multidisciplinary technical communicationRequirements:

Bachelor's degree and 10 years transmission engineering experienceOr master's degree and eight years transmission engineering experienceProfessional Engineer license from a Canadian province requiredKnowledge of CSA, NESC, NERC, and FERC requirementsAbility to travel 50% of the timeApply transmission design leadership, PLS-CADD expertise, and professional engineering judgment to complex Calgary projects with substantial travel.
