Role Description The Senior Transportation Applications Specialist is a full-time, in office role based in the Greater Calgary Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for supporting, configuring, and optimizing transportation management and planning applications to improve operational efficiency and service quality across Mullen Group’s businesses. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing transportation workflows, troubleshooting application issues, coordinating with internal stakeholders and vendors, and implementing system enhancements and integrations.





The Specialist will collaborate with operations, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure transportation solutions meet business requirements and regulatory standards. This role may also involve training end users, documenting best practices, and contributing to technology-related projects and process improvements.

Qualifications

- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving abilities to assess transportation data, system performance, and process efficiency.
- Transportation planning and transportation management skills to support routing, scheduling, and optimization activities.
- Effective communication and customer service skills to work with internal teams, external partners, and end users.
- Experience with transportation or logistics software platforms and related applications (e.g., TMS, routing tools, ERP integrations).
- Knowledge of freight, trucking, and logistics operations; prior experience in the transportation or logistics industry is an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work collaboratively in an on-site team environment, and adapt to changing business needs.
- Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain management, business, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in using spreadsheets, databases, and reporting tools to support analysis and decision-making.
