The Regional District of Kitimat-Stikine seeks a permanent full-time Solid Waste Manager. This leadership role oversees facilities, diversion programs, collection services, contracts, staffing, and budgets exceeding $5 million. It supports secure, efficient, cost-effective service delivery across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee three facilities, two landfills, and three transfer stations
- Administer landfill, recycling, hauling, and collection contracts
- Manage Solid Waste Management Plan development and implementation
- Supervise staffing, performance management, training,

- Prepare Board reports, budgets, forecasts, and compliance submissions

Requirements:

- Environmental studies diploma or degree, or related discipline
- Five years related solid waste experience
- Two years supervisory experience, preferably in local government
- SWANA MOLO and landfill gas certifications, or commitment
- Class 5 British Columbia driver's license
