Electrical design expertise meets Cameco’s Port Hope conversion facility, focusing on power distribution and instrumentation systems. This is a regular full time engineering position.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will support the site’s design engineering team. Your work covers 600 V three-phase distribution, loop drawings, electrical controls, and power system studies. You will provide technical guidance to operations, maintenance, and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

- Provide electrical engineering expertise throughout the conversion facility
- Develop and approve electrical and instrumentation drawings
- Support operations, maintenance, and site projects teams
- Manage selected projects through implementation
- Ensure solutions comply with codes and Cameco standards

Requirements:

- Undergraduate degree in electrical engineering
- Ontario Professional Engineer license or active progress toward licensing
- Minimum five years’ 600 V distribution engineering experience
- Experience conducting power system and arc flash studies
- Working knowledge of systems up to 44 kV
