- Collaborate with engineering, construction, procurement, and project management teams to assess constructability and execution strategies.
- Support capital budget development and business case preparation.
- Review contractor estimates, tender submissions, and change orders for scope completeness and cost reasonableness.
- Maintain estimating databases, cost models, historical cost records, and supporting documentation.
- Prepare Basis of Estimate (BOE) documentation, including assumptions, inclusions, and exclusions.

- Participate in post-project reviews and lessons-learned initiatives to improve estimating accuracy and processes.

- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and construction scopes.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and estimating software tools.

Preferred

- Experience estimating transmission line, substation, electrical utility, or other power infrastructure projects.
- Experience working in a regulated utility or major capital project environment.
- Professional designation such as P.Eng., C.E.T., or equivalent.
- Experience using tools such as InEight, Hard Dollar, HeavyBid, Primavera P6, or similar estimating and project controls software.
