Sales Manager (Manufacturer of building materials)

Profile: Our client is a Quebec-based manufacturer of building products sold through distributors and installers. They are looking for a hands-on Sales Manager who will be responsible for developing the Quebec market, primarily in the Greater Montreal area, while managing a team of two.

In this role, you will manage and grow existing customer relationships while actively identifying and developing new distribution and installation partners. You will provide product training, sales support and guidance to your network, while also building relationships with the architectural and design (A&D;) community to educate them on the company's products and drive regular product specifications.

Must be able to pass criminal and credit check

Territory: Province of Quebec

Workplace: Mostly work from home (local to Montreal)

Products/Services: Building products

Salary: Base $100,000-$110,000

Commissions/Bonus: TBD

Car allowance: Km reimbursement

Expense’s reimbursement: Company credit for work-related expenses

- 4 weeks vacation (2 during construction holiday + 2 at Christmas)

Functions:

- Manage existing distributor and installer network
- Identify and recruit recent distributors and installation partners
- Train and support partners
- Grow the company's business
- Build relationships with architects and designers.
- Conduct product presentations and training sessions
- Educate A&D; community
- Manage your team of 2
- Ensure effective coordination between outside sales, customer service and order processing

Requirements:

Development vs Maintenance: 70% vs 30%

Road vs Office: 75% vs 25%

Languages: French and English

Education: College degree or equivalent experience

Training: On the job training provided

Overnight Travel: Less than 15% overnight travel required

Years of experience: At least 7-10 years of sales experience , preferably in building materials

Other requirements: You can work autonomously

Transferable contacts: Contacts within the building materials distributors in Quebec

Transferable Knowledge:

- You know the construction industry
- B2B sales experience
