We're currently seeking a Shop Attendant / Junior Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in providing excellent customer service, and is interested in building a career in the refrigeration and HVAC industry.

What You'll Do:

Delivery & Logistics:

- Safely deliver parts, tools, and equipment to customer and job sites.
- Operate company vehicles in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and preventative checks.
- Maintain accurate records, including parts tracking and daily safety documentation.

Field Support:
- Assist Mechanics and Technicians with installations, maintenance, and service work as required.
- Support shop and field operations to help ensure projects run efficiently.
- Maintain professional and positive relationships with customers and team members.

Safety & Environmental Responsibility:
- Actively support and promote Gateway's safety culture.
- Participate in safety meetings, training, and company HSE initiatives.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental practices.




- Contribute to maintaining a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

Working Conditions
- Travel outside the local area may be required (approximately 25%).
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including repetitive lifting.
- Occasional overtime, evening, and weekend work may be required.

What We're Looking For:

Required Qualifications

- Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean Driver's Abstract.
- Ability to safely operate a one-ton truck or cargo van.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Comfortable using mobile and computer applications such as SiteDocs, GPS, and time-entry software.
- Positive knowledge of local and surrounding areas.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly.

Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of delivery or transportation experience.
- Previous labor, construction, mechanical, or warehouse experience.
- Forklift certification or experience.
- Defensive Driving Certification.
- Interest in pursuing an apprenticeship or long-term career in the Refrigeration / HVAC trade.
