This Senior Software Developer contract supports a next-generation Cash Equities data platform. You will work with Core Java, Kafka, GCP, and scalable data pipelines. The platform serves as a central data store and distribution layer for trades and orders. Its capabilities support surveillance, regulatory reporting, and downstream financial processes.

Key Responsibilities:

- Build and maintain high-performance Java applications and services
- Design event-driven architectures and real-time streaming pipelines
- Develop and operate Kafka-based streaming solutions
- Use BigQuery, Dataflow, GKE, and Cloud Storage
- Troubleshoot production issues and improve platform reliability

Requirements:

- Eight to twelve years of software development experience
- Robust Core Java expertise, including Java 17
- Kafka and GCP cloud data engineering experience
- Understanding of data structures, modelling, and transformation pipelines
- Functional programming experience in Java
