Job Summary

Silkstone Group is hiring a Project Manager with civil construction and heavy equipment experience who knows how to lead a crew and keep jobs moving.

We need someone who has managed people on construction sites, can read blueprints, and can plan ahead so crews have the equipment, materials and direction they need. You’ll work closely with the owners and be the main point of contact between the office, field crews and subcontractors.

What you’ll do

- Lead crews, assign work and hold people accountable.
- Manage daily schedules and coordinate work across multiple job sites.
- Read and work from civil drawings, blueprints and specifications.
- Arrange materials, equipment, deliveries and subcontractors.
- Track job progress, labour, materials and changes to the scope of work.
- Help with site visits, takeoffs and estimating.
- Deal with problems as they come up and communicate clearly with the owners, crews and customers.
- Keep work moving safely and make sure it’s done properly.

What you need

- Proven experience leading construction crews or managing construction projects.
- Civil construction and excavation experience.




- A solid understanding of heavy equipment, site work and how jobs are carried out.
- Experience reading blueprints and civil drawings.
- The ability to organize people and work, make decisions and follow through.
- A valid driver’s licence and clean driving record.
- A practical approach and willingness to get out on site.
