As a Senior HVDC Design Engineer, you will support the Station Design Department under engineering section leadership. Apply experience in HVDC technology, utility protection, industrial automation, and complex electrical infrastructure. Your work will modernize and support Manitoba Hydro’s HVDC converter and transmission stations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead HVDC systems, controls, and protection design activities
- Develop conceptual design reports defining technology and requirements
- Prepare engineering packages for HVDC equipment modifications
- Review consultant designs for specifications and standards compliance




- Direct project deliverables, schedules, estimates, and commissioning support

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
- Minimum seven years of directly related experience
- At least two years directing engineering personnel
- Skilled membership with Engineers Geoscientists Manitoba, or eligibility
- Valid Manitoba driver’s licence and willingness to travel
