Engineer yeast VLPs at Molagri in Toronto using strain development, purification, and quality control expertise. This is a full-time, hands-on laboratory role.

As a Senior Research Associate, you will build workflows for engineered VLP production, purification, QC, and stability. You will express VLPs in yeast, improve yield and recovery, and screen storage conditions. Your work supports purified material for characterization, insect-cell assays, and insect bioassays.

Key Responsibilities:

- Engineer yeast strains for growth and VLP yields
- Transform yeast and screen clones for particle quality
- Produce VLPs in shake flasks and bioreactors
- Optimize media, induction, temperature, and harvest conditions
- Run purification, QC, and stability workflows

Requirements:

- BSc or MS in a relevant biological discipline
- Three-plus years of research experience
- Hands-on yeast transformation and recombinant expression experience
- Experience with purification and small-scale fermentation
- Solid records, troubleshooting, and cross-team communication skills
