Design structured cabling and physical technology infrastructure as a Network Designer for LeverageTek’s Ottawa-based customer on a six-month contract.

This Network Designer coordinates infrastructure across construction, renovation, retrofit, and technology deployment projects. You will review technical drawings, coordinate copper and fibre cabling, support wireless and switching deployments, and manage vendors, contractors, Facilities, and internal IT teams. Accurate documentation and testing remain central.

Key Responsibilities:

- Coordinate cabling infrastructure design, planning, implementation, testing, and commissioning
- Review drawings and identify infrastructure requirements and cabling placements
- Coordinate outlets, wireless access points, endpoints, speakers, and security devices
- Manage pathways, telecommunications rooms, racks, conduits, trays, and equipment locations




- Maintain drawings, test results, deficiency logs, and handover documentation

Requirements:

- Minimum five years coordinating structured cabling or network infrastructure projects
- Experience reviewing technical drawings and coordinating copper and fibre cabling
- Experience coordinating contractors, vendors, and internal technical teams
- Related post-secondary diploma, degree, or equivalent education and experience
- Robust project coordination, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills
