Island Health seeks a Registered Nurse - PICU to plan and provide direct nursing care for hospital patients. The position follows unit philosophy, competency guidelines, policies, and BCCNM Standards for Nursing Practice. Patient and staff safety, quality improvement, and effective communication guide the work.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan direct nursing care for pediatric intensive care patients
- Provide direct nursing care according to unit guidelines
- Apply policies and BCCNM nursing practice standards
- Organize assigned workload and establish priorities

physicians, and community representatives

Requirements:

- BC College of Nurses and Midwives practicing RN registration
- Current CPR Basic Rescuer certification
- Knowledge of children’s physiology and psychology from newborn through sixteen
- Recognized Pediatric ICU education certificate
- Up to two years recent Pediatric ICU experience, or equivalent
