Position Summary

Reporting to the Director, Human Resources, the Specialist, Talent Acquisition and Development will manage the full recruitment cycle for the six (6) warehouse locations across Canada and will partner with business leaders to build talent acquisition and broader talent management programs. With an ability to think proactively, be motivated by results and driven by action, the incumbent will think strategically to help solve complex talent challenges and support pipeline of talent needed for the Company’s future success.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Partner with Human Resources and business leaders to develop high volume talent acquisition and broader talent management plans based on hiring trends and workforce plans/needs;
- Execute flawless full cycle talent acquisition for operational and salaried administrative roles, ensuring a positive candidate experience;
- Design and implement proactive sourcing strategies for specialized and hard-to-fill positions, reducing the reliance on third-party support;




- Conduct in-depth intake meetings to define what success looks like: determine regional or job challenges, appropriate role-specific attraction strategies, screening and assessment criteria, to ensure the best possible candidate matches;
- Support development and execution of talent acquisition social media calendar, campaigns and employer branding initiatives;
- Build and own relationships within recruitment vendors, local community partners, educational institutions, and industry networks to strengthen Conestoga Cold Storage talent pipeline and employer brand presence.
- Act as a talent ambassador building the talent brand through social media, targeted advertising, events and school partnerships;
- Leverage Talent Acquisition reporting and maintain HR scorecards to keep a pulse on talent programs - ensuring service delivery and flawless execution of objectives as well as identifying themes and trends which inform continuous improvement efforts.
- Support the implementation of talent management programs such as succession, talent development and workforce plans, which enables a ready-now pipeline of talent for the organization.
- Manage onboarding of new hires and support business leaders with orientation efforts for new team members, including required HR training - ensuring a positive employee experience.
- Remain abreast of industry-leading talent acquisition and talent management strategies, providing recommendations on projects and improvement opportunities to support workforce planning.

Qualifications and Skills

- Completion of bachelor’s University Degree or relevant Diploma in Human Resources or equivalent experience;
- Minimum five (5)



years in Human Resources generalist capacity with three (3) years’ hands-on recruiting experience with a proven track record of success filling high-volume roles in supply chain, logistics, warehousing, transportation, manufacturing, food storage or other multi-site industrial environment is preferred and considered an asset;
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while adapting recruitment strategies to evolving business and labour market needs.
- Experience leveraging a variety of sourcing channels, including local talent markets, community partnerships, targeted recruitment campaigns, and networking events.
- Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills, results driven, high performing, collaborative, shows initiative, proactive, encourages building key relationships
- Bilingualism (French and English), both spoken and written considered an assetExceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining quality of work.
- Highly-motivated and resourceful, with a strong sense of urgency, ownership and follow-through.

Language Requirements

- French not required but considered an asset

Location & Work Arrangement

- Halton Hills, Ontario
- On-site position, five days per week.
