Technical Consultant - Civil Infrastructure

Location: Quebec - Primarily Remote

The Opportunity

Summit Search Group is partnering with a leading Canadian provider of engineering design and technology solutions to recruit a Technical Consultant.

This client-facing role combines technical expertise, consulting, training, and implementation support. You'll work with engineering firms, municipalities, and infrastructure organizations to optimize their use of Autodesk Civil 3D/BIM, improve design workflows, and implement best practices.

The ideal candidate has strong Civil 3D and BIM technologies expertise, enjoys solving technical challenges, and is comfortable working directly with clients.

Key Responsibilities

- Provide technical consulting, training, implementation, and support for Autodesk Civil 3D and BIM technologies.
- Assess client needs and recommend solutions to improve design processes and productivity.
- Help clients establish and optimize CAD standards, templates, configurations, and workflows.
- Deliver technical demonstrations, discovery sessions, and proofs of concept.
- Collaborate with sales teams on technical presentations, proposals, and client opportunities.




- Support project delivery and provide ongoing technical guidance to clients.

Qualifications & Experience

- 5+ years of experience in civil infrastructure design, CAD production, or technical consulting.
- Strong proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D and BIM technologies.
- Experience developing and managing CAD standards, templates, and workflows.
- Experience providing technical training, mentoring, or support to engineering professionals.
- Solid communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable working independently and directly with clients.
- Fluency in French and professional proficiency in English are required.

Nice to Have

- Experience with GIS technologies, including ArcGIS, FME, or CAD-to-GIS workflows.
- Background as a CAD Manager, BIM/CAD Coordinator, or Technical Consultant.
- Experience with InfraWorks, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Vault, or other Autodesk solutions.
- Experience working with municipalities, engineering consulting firms, or public-sector organizations.
- Knowledge of Civil 3D customization, automation, or data management.
