Lead DB2 cloud migration architecture from Toronto, working onsite with IBM DB2, Azure, and database modernization expertise. This permanent full-time role targets experienced architects.

As a DB2 Architect, you will assess environments, define target-state architecture, and guide migration from on-premises platforms to Azure or AWS. The position requires 10+ years in database engineering and architecture, with hands-on DB2 administration, performance tuning, and migration strategy experience. You will also address resilience, automation, and production stabilization across migration waves.

Key Responsibilities:

- Define DB2 architecture, engineering standards, and best practices
- Assess schemas, procedures, performance, integrations, and dependencies
- Design HADR, backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery




- Develop migration runbooks, validation, cutover, rollback, and hypercare
- Coordinate migration planning with application, cloud, security, and DevOps teams

Requirements:

- 10+ years in database engineering and architecture
- Robust IBM DB2 architecture and administration expertise
- Proven DB2 cloud migration and modernization experience
- Azure and/or AWS migration strategy design experience
- Knowledge of Azure SQL, PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, and Aurora
