Venture Associate at R-LABS in downtown Toronto helps validate companies using customer research, commercial analysis, and AI tools onsite. This permanent, full time role connects industry problems with scalable ventures.

Reporting to the Managing Director, Ventures, you will operate across housing, real estate finance, asset operations, infrastructure, and adjacent verticals. You will work with Entrepreneurs-in-Residence, co-founders, and partner operators to move ideas from discovery through formation. Athena, R-LABS’ proprietary AI platform, supports research, synthesis, and validation.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead customer discovery and venture validation activities
- Test assumptions and recommend advancing, pivoting, or pausing ideas
- Develop business models, financial models, and commercialization strategies




- Coordinate resources and prepare investor and customer materials
- Build networks through outreach, expert calls, and referrals

Requirements:

- Venture-building, founder, or early-stage operating experience
- Daily experience using LLMs and agentic workflows
- Market research, customer validation, and business modeling experience
- Ability to reason about unit economics and development pro-formas
- Clear communication, analytical thinking, and independent ownership
