FortisBC seeks a Gas Controller to monitor pipeline data and maintain adequate provincial gas flow. The position controls remote equipment, responds to alarms, coordinates emergencies, and supports reliable customer service. It also involves forecasting requirements, analyzing telemetry, and maintaining operational records.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor pipeline pressures and flow rates using SCADA
- Control gas flows through compressors and valves
- Respond to alarms and pipeline emergencies
- Forecast requirements using weather and historical data
- Record system activity in gas control logs

Requirements:

- Engineering Technologist diploma or related Red Seal trade
- Six years of directly related experience
- Knowledge of pipeline hydraulics and gas processes
- Ability to pass Operator Qualification Training certification
- Availability for evenings, weekends, holidays, and on-call scheduling
