Lead cost planning and estimating with BTY in Victoria, applying construction knowledge and analytical judgment across major development projects.

As a Senior Cost Consultant, you will prepare estimates throughout design, from conceptual development through pre-tender. The work covers residential, commercial, industrial, institutional, and infrastructure projects. You will use measurement and estimating software, interpret drawings, and provide client-focused cost management advice.

Key Responsibilities:

- Quantify materials using BTY’s measurement software and CIQS rules
- Estimate material, labour, and equipment costs for construction projects
- Assess cost-to-complete and work-in-place during site inspections
- Review cost variances, change orders, and lifecycle costs




- Coach junior team members and support client relationships

Requirements:

- Five to ten or more years of relevant experience
- At least two years mentoring team members
- Degree in estimating, quantity surveying, construction engineering, or related field
- PQS or MRICS qualification, completed or in progress
- Experience with CostX, PlanSwift, or relevant estimating software
