Lead development planning in Wellington County with expertise in municipal applications, policy interpretation, and Ontario Land Tribunal representation. This full-time role is fully onsite in Guelph.

The Senior Planner (Development) processes complex development applications for the Planning and Development Department. The work includes consents, zoning amendments, minor variances, subdivisions, condominiums, official plan amendments, and site plans. You will prepare recommendations, coordinate reviews, and advise councils, committees, municipalities, and partners.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage complex development application files across Wellington County
- Prepare and present planning reports and recommendations
- Interpret provincial plans, policies, official plans, and zoning by-laws




- Coordinate peer reviews with consultants and municipal partners
- Provide evidence at Ontario Land Tribunal Hearings when required

Requirements:

- Four-year planning degree or related university degree
- Minimum five years municipal land use planning experience
- Registered Qualified Planner designation or eligibility
- Planning Act and provincial policy knowledge
- Valid G2 driver's licence and reliable vehicle
