Lead Ruby on Rails infrastructure at Fullscript while improving developer productivity, application reliability, and technical standards across teams.

This hands-on Engineering Manager leads the backend infrastructure team. You will combine people leadership, technical direction, and project execution across Fullscript’s Rails monolith. The work includes roadmap ownership, solution design, code review, foundational upgrades, and shared developer tooling.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead, coach, and develop software engineers through feedback and career development
- Own roadmap priorities for developer needs and application health
- Guide Rails architecture, maintainability, scalability, reliability, and security
- Lead Ruby and Rails upgrades across affected teams
- Improve CI, testing infrastructure,



documentation, and development workflows

Requirements:

- Experience managing software engineers, including hiring and performance management
- Robust backend engineering background with Ruby on Rails
- Experience maintaining production applications
- Sound judgment across architecture, testing, performance, reliability, and security
- Experience serving multiple teams through platform or infrastructure work
