Build Generative AI and NLP solutions at Clio, working remotely across Canada or the US, with hub-based office expectations when applicable.

As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will develop models and LLM solutions for Clio’s legal technology customers. You will work with structured and unstructured data, transformer-based models, prompt engineering, and evaluation. The AI team uses Natural Language Processing and Generative AI to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop advanced machine learning models using structured and unstructured data
- Create Large Language Model solutions for Clio clients
- Identify ML-driven features with engineering and product teams
- Collaborate with operations and data science colleagues




- Work across projects with MLOps engineers and software developers

Requirements:

- Hands-on GenAI, NLP, transformer modeling, prompt engineering, and evaluation experience
- Proficiency manipulating, cleaning, and preprocessing complex unstructured datasets
- Experience with open-source LLMs and commercial LLM APIs
- Experience with agentic frameworks and workflows
- Demonstrated software development mentorship using agile processes
