Lead subcontract governance and field operations for Bechtel in Calgary, Alberta. This full time office/project role supports major project delivery.

As Manager of Subcontracts, you will lead contracts personnel across project operations and oversee owner contracts and Bechtel subcontracts. Your work includes developing subcontracting strategies, procedures, staffing plans, and the contracts section of the Project Execution Plan. You will coordinate engineering, construction, operations, and cost and schedule controls. The position also covers commercial reporting, change management, claims avoidance, dispute resolution, payments, closeout, and turnover.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead contract governance, compliance, audit readiness, and approval controls
- Manage project contracts personnel across major project operations




- Coordinate contracts plans with engineering, construction, and operations
- Review commitment recommendations and supporting documentation
- Lead subcontract changes, claims negotiations, and commercial closeout

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s or master’s degree and 15+ years’ relevant experience
- Or 19+ years of relevant work experience
- Extensive EPC industry and Canadian pipeline experience
- Field subcontracts management experience
- Camp-based rotation position experience and Indigenous relations understanding
