Lead high-voltage transmission and distribution operations with Suncor as a Senior Electrical Advisor at Firebag. This FIFO role supports safe, reliable systems.

You will guide operational decisions across complex industrial power systems while supporting maintenance, commissioning, and reliability. The position covers Suncor’s 13.8 kV to 260 kV assets and requires leadership during outages and emergent events. Firebag is 120 kilometres northeast of Fort McMurray, Alberta.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead safe, reliable, and compliant asset operations
- Make decisions balancing safety, reliability, cost, environment, and production
- Guide teams through forced outages and equipment failures
- Coordinate switching, isolation, outages, and return-to-service activities
- Oversee contractors, work execution, safety,



and service delivery

Requirements:

- Five years’ relevant electrical operations or maintenance experience
- Recognized electrical qualification or electrical engineering degree
- Experience with high-voltage switching, isolation, grounding, and protection
- Knowledge of electrical safety, LOTO, and secure work procedures
- Experience supporting outages, commissioning, and operational readiness
