La Citadelle International Academy of Arts & Science is seeking a committed, enthusiastic Mandarin & Physical Education Teacher to join our team for a 5-week supply coverage position starting in January 2027 for the second semester of the 2026–2027 academic year.

We are a settled community of educators, and openings on our faculty are limited. While this is a temporary 5-week supply teacher contract to cover a leave, we are looking for the right person to step seamlessly into our long-standing team and bring energy, care, and subject expertise to our students.

Qualifications As an independent school, we hire on the strength of expertise, experience, and character. We welcome qualifications earned in Canada or internationally.

Required Qualifications

- A Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Asian Studies/Mandarin Language, or a related field
- Native or near-native fluency in Mandarin, with solid command of spoken and written English
- Demonstrated teaching or coaching experience with children or adolescents in both Physical Education and Mandarin instruction
- Strong lesson planning, active classroom management, and assessment skills




- Genuine subject expertise and a sustained passion for health, physical literacy, and language education

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills

Highly Valued Additional Assets

- A Bachelor of Education or international teaching qualification
- Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification
- First Aid / CPR certification (strongly asset for Physical Education)
- Knowledge of IB-MYP and/or AP frameworks
