Systems Analyst

Please note: Candidates must reside in the Edmonton area as this is a hybrid position.

Position Summary

Our client is seeking a Systems Analyst to administer, manage, and optimize server infrastructure while ensuring the availability, performance, and security of critical systems. This role works closely with technical and business stakeholders to analyze system requirements, implement solutions, and provide reliable support across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

- Administer, maintain, and troubleshoot server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers, storage systems, and networking components.
- Monitor system performance, conduct capacity planning, and implement upgrades to maintain reliability and efficiency.
- Analyze technical requirements and develop specifications for system configurations, enhancements, and improvements.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support system integrations and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
- Implement security controls and industry best practices to protect systems, networks, and data.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in system migrations, upgrades, and implementation projects while minimizing business disruption.
- Stay current on emerging technologies, infrastructure trends, and best practices in systems administration and support.
- Demonstrate professionalism, collaboration, integrity, and a commitment to service excellence.

Qualifications

- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,



or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 5+ years of experience supporting cloud-based technologies and enterprise systems.
- 5+ years of experience in systems, server, and network administration.
- Experience administering Microsoft cloud technologies, including Azure, Microsoft 365, and identity management platforms.
- Strong knowledge of server operating systems, including Windows Server and Linux environments.
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as Hyper-V or comparable platforms.
- Solid understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, DNS, and infrastructure management.
- Experience with backup solutions, business continuity, and disaster recovery planning.
- Relevant certifications are considered an asset.
- Robust analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
