Talent Acquisition Specialist – Seasonal Recruitment Employment: Full-Time, Permanent Commercial Landscaping & Snow Management Reports to: HR Manager Strathmore is a leading Canadian provider of commercial landscaping and snow removal services. For over 60 years, we have delivered exceptional services to businesses, universities, government agencies, and commercial properties across Canada. We are looking for an energetic, proactive, and results-driven Talent Acquisition Specialist – Seasonal Recruitment to support our Toronto and Ottawa–Gatineau operations.

Reporting to the HR Manager, you will play a key role in recruiting seasonal and permanent employees, primarily for our landscaping and snow removal operations. With 80% of your role dedicated to recruitment and 20% to basic HR support, you'll work closely with operational managers to anticipate staffing needs, build strong candidate pipelines, and ensure our teams are ready for each season.

Acquisition & Seasonal Recruitment – 80% Manage full-cycle recruitment for seasonal and permanent operational positions. Plan and execute seasonal recruitment campaigns to meet workforce needs ahead of the summer and winter seasons. Develop creative sourcing strategies to attract candidates in a competitive labour market.

Post and promote job opportunities across recruitment platforms, social media, and community networks. Proactively source candidates through job boards, resume databases, referrals, and direct outreach.



Build and maintain active candidate pipelines to support high-volume seasonal hiring.

Participate in job fairs, community outreach, and recruitment events. Track recruitment activities, hiring targets, and results. Ensure a positive and professional candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.

HR Support & Administration – 20% Act as a first point of contact for employees regarding basic HR questions and requests. Assist employees with general inquiries related to payroll, benefits, vacation, company policies, and HR procedures. Refer more complex HR matters to the appropriate HR team member.

Assist new employees with onboarding documentation and general HR information. Provide general administrative support to the HR team as needed. 1–3 years of recruitment experience, ideally in seasonal, high-volume, operational, or blue-collar recruitment. ~ Excellent communication skills in English and French, both written and spoken. A third language is an asset. ~ Experience with an Applicant Tracking System (ATS); ADP is an asset. ~ Customer service or sales experience is an asset. ~ Comfortable working independently while collaborating with a broader HR team. ~ Valid driver's licence and ability to travel by car to Ottawa–Gatineau approximately four times per year.
