Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Programmer Analyst – Lead with 5+ years of experience in technical analysis, application development, configuration management, and production support.

The ideal candidate will have a combination of strong technical analysis skills and hands-on engineering experience. This role involves managing engagement intake, understanding business requirements, translating them into technical specifications, coordinating with business and technical teams, and implementing complex configuration changes across test and production environments.

The position also requires hands-on experience with REST APIs, Node.js, React/Next.js, SQL, data loading, validation, and DevOps practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technical Analysis & Engagement Management

- Manage the engagement intake process and track technical engagements through completion.
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Translate business requirements into technical requirements and implementation plans.
- Coordinate with business stakeholders, developers, QA, and technical teams.
- Provide technical recommendations and suggest alternative approaches where appropriate.
- Manage multiple engagements while ensuring timely delivery and effective communication.

2. Configuration Management & QA

- Implement complex application configuration changes across test and production environments.
- Establish and execute QA processes to review and validate configuration updates.
- Perform configuration testing and ensure changes meet business and technical requirements.
- Coordinate test data preparation and setting setup.
- Validate configuration changes before production deployment.




- Support troubleshooting, issue resolution, and production validation.

3. Application Development & Engineering (Approximately 50%)

- Work with REST APIs and support application integrations.
- Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain applications using Node.js, React.js/Next.js, and SQL.
- Perform one-time data loads into PoA applications, including monitoring, loading, validation, and reconciliation.
- Work with event-driven architecture and RESTful API integrations.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support application enhancements and integrations.
- Be adaptable and comfortable working with different technologies and technology stacks.

4. DevOps, Monitoring & Production Support

- Work with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.
- Apply DevOps practices to support application delivery and release management.
- Monitor application health and troubleshoot issues using observability tools.
- Work with monitoring and logging platforms such as Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
- Support testing, deployment, and production troubleshooting activities.

Required Technical Skills

- 5+ years of experience in software development, technical analysis, or application engineering.
- Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and API integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Node.js and React.js/Next.js.
- Strong SQL skills, including writing queries and validating data.
- Understanding of event-driven architecture and asynchronous processing.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
- Knowledge of application configuration management, testing, and QA processes.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Skills

- Experience with Go (Golang).
- Knowledge of Loyalty and Rewards platforms or ecosystems.
- Experience with Grafana, Prometheus, and Splunk.
- Experience with one-time data migration or bulk data loading.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and production support.
