Timber-Tech Building Solutions is a Canadian company that builds quality walls and floors for residential construction in our prefabrication shop. Timber-Tech Building Solutions is looking to hire a Forklift Operator to work in our shop based in Balzac, AB. The position will report directly to the Shop Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate various forklifts to move materials and products within the prefabrication shop.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and storage areas using the forklift.
- Transport materials to designated work areas or storage locations.
- Stack and organize materials in an efficient and orderly manner.
- Inspect and maintain forklift equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate workflow.
- Pick lumber for orders/shop.
Pay is based on qualifications and experience.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification or willingness to obtain certification.
- Prior experience operating a forklift in a warehouse or construction environment preferred.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and practices related to forklift operation.
- Ability to operate forklifts safely in various weather and environmental conditions.
- Robust attention to detail and ability to accurately follow instructions.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and practices in an industrial setting.
- Ability to do heavy lifting and prolonged periods of sitting and standing.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Job Type: Permanent Expected Hours: 40- 50 hours per week
