As an experienced Underground Mainline Excavator Operator, you will support civil construction crews installing water, sanitary, and storm systems. Precision, efficient production, and accurate grades are central to this work. You will coordinate with pipe layers, grade personnel, foremen, superintendents, and crew members to deliver installations safely and on specification.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate excavators for water, storm, and sanitary utility installation
- Excavate trenches using laser or GPS guidance
- Perform trenching, sloping, shoring, bedding, and backfill operations




- Maintain awareness of existing utilities during excavation
- Inspect equipment and follow site safety protocols

Requirements:
- Three or more years operating excavators in underground civil construction
- Experience installing water, storm, and sanitary mains
- Ability to read grades, drawings, and construction stakes
- Experience with laser or GPS machine control systems
- Valid Class 5 driver's license minimum; Class 3 is an asset
