Coordinate solid waste programs for the City of Greater Sudbury while managing community outreach, records, and collection initiatives. This limited position works 70 hours bi-weekly without required shift work.

Reporting to the Manager of Collection and Recycling, the coordinator administers waste programs and supports public awareness. The work includes municipal solid waste operations, presentations, data analysis, and program documentation. You will also coordinate Waste Transfer Sites and community diversion initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate delivery of waste collection and support programs
- Present programs and initiatives to public groups and institutions
- Operate residential Waste Transfer Sites and Depots
- Maintain records, databases, statistics, and performance measures




- Handle escalated collection issues and provide recommendations

Requirements:
- Community College Diploma in Business, Environmental, or related studies
- Two and one half to five years of related experience
- Knowledge of solid waste bylaws, legislation, and regulations
- Solid organization, documentation, coordination, and communication skills
- Excellent English; French skills considered an asset
