Now Hiring: Heavy Duty Mechanic — Winter Snow Season Support

When the storm hits, the fleet has to run! L. Chabot Enterprises Ltd. has been building Manitoba since 1969. We’re a third-generation, family-run heavy civil construction company specializing in aggregates, crushing, roadbuilding and earthworks. Our committed winter snow clearing contracts keep graders, loaders and plow trucks working around the clock, and we need skilled mechanics to keep them storm-ready.

Flexible Schedule

- Part-time or full-time available
- Day or night shifts available
- Potnetially leads to full-time, permanent, year-round work in our shop for the right mechanic

What You’ll Work On Graders (including wings), loaders, plow trucks, skid steers and support equipment, plus the semi trucks, gravel trailers and heavy equipment that keep our construction season moving.

What You’ll Do

- Diagnose and repair equipment: mechanical, hydraulic and electrical
- Turn around breakdowns quickly to get operators back on the road during storm events
- Perform routine maintenance: oil, filters, greasing and inspections
- Maintain and repair plow blades, wings and snow attachments
- Complete repairs, component replacements and work orders
- Support preventative maintenance and keep a clean, safe shop

What You Bring

- Heavy duty mechanic experience
- Red Seal (preferred)
- Truck and Trailer Safety Certification (preferred)




- Strong diagnostic skills: you troubleshoot, not just swap parts
- Experience with heavy fleet and construction or snow equipment
- Valid Class 5 driver’s licence
- Independent, reliable and safety-focused
