This permanent part-time Swim Instructor role reports to the Aquatics Supervisor. Responsibilities include leading wide-ranging lesson plans, evaluating participants, responding to emergencies, and following YMCA policies. Coverage includes weekdays, evenings, weekends, and Saturday shifts at Chilliwack facilities.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead swimming lessons across various programs
- Evaluate participant progress through structured assessments
- Maintain safety for members, staff, and property
- Build positive relationships with members and colleagues
- Assist with training new staff and volunteers

Requirements:
- YSI or Swim Instructor Certification
- Standard First Aid valid within three years
- CPR Level C and AED valid within one year
- High-level customer service skills
- Flexible approach and strong work ethic
