We're excited to share an chance for an existing vacancy as Product Development Engineer. Our client, a well-established medical device company, is planning a new R&D; Centre of Excellence in Kitchener-Waterloo and looking to double its engineering team through the addition of 10+ Product Development Engineers.

This is an opportunity to help develop the company's next generation of products through hands-on design, rapid prototyping and testing. You'll join a growing engineering team where your ideas and technical expertise will help shape new products from concept through development.

Daily responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Design and develop new medical device products, translating user needs into practical engineering solutions.
- Create and refine concepts, detailed designs and prototypes to evaluate product functionality and performance.
- Plan and execute engineering tests, analyze results and incorporate findings into design improvements.
- Collaborate with engineering, quality,



regulatory and manufacturing teams throughout product development.
- Evaluate materials, components and manufacturing processes for performance, reliability and manufacturability.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test protocols and reports.
- Troubleshoot technical challenges and support the transition of designs into production.

Mandatory Requirements:

- A degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
- Product development engineering experience within medical devices or life sciences.
- Hands-on experience with product design, prototyping and engineering testing.
- Demonstrated ability to translate technical requirements into functional designs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and technical documentation skills.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $130,000
