Inpatient duties span medical and surgical wards, electrodiagnostics, a rotating closed ICU assignment, and high-volume on-call coverage. The practice also includes outpatient referrals across General Internal Medicine and subspecialty medicine.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultative services during scheduled on-call coverage
- Direct care on medical and surgical wards
- Round in the seven-bed closed ICU
- Interpret stress tests, ECGs, and Holters

Requirements:
- Full time availability for permanent specialty practice
- Eligibility for FRCPC Internal Medicine
- Eligibility for College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC licensure
- High comfort with subspecialty medicine and critical care
- USA certification includes ABIM Internal Medicine and Critical Care Apply broad hospital medicine, electrodiagnostic, cardiology, and critical care skills within Island Health’s Cowichan practice.
