Lead Water Treatment Plant operations in Thunder Bay through SCADA expertise, regulatory compliance, and accountable staff supervision. The City of Thunder Bay seeks an Operations Supervisor for its Water Treatment Plant and associated pumping stations. Reporting to the Plant Superintendent, this role supervises Operations staff and Environmental Engineering Technicians. Responsibilities include Protected Drinking Water Act compliance, quality management auditing, resource planning, budgeting, and emergency response duties.

Key Responsibilities
- Supervise Operations staff and Environmental Engineering Technicians
- Oversee monitoring, sampling, documentation, and flushing requirements
- Create integrated work plans and operational schedules




- Maintain infrastructure budgets and support plant budgets
- Serve as Operator in Charge and Overall Responsible Operator

Requirements:
- Engineering technology degree, diploma, or appropriate equivalent education
- Five years administrative and supervisory experience
- Five years plant operations and maintenance experience
- Proven microcomputer and SCADA systems experience
- Class III Water Treatment certificate and valid Class G licence Apply water treatment leadership, SCADA knowledge, and regulatory experience to operations at Thunder Bay’s municipal plant.
