Kablamo

Toronto

Kablamo is an impact-driven software engineering company (teamkablamo.com). We bring engineering, data, and AI expertise to solve complex problems, with the intellectual horsepower to know what works and the care to make sure it actually does. Founded in 2017 in Australia, we've grown quickly across both markets, including the expansion of our team to Canada in 2021. Our team is growing, but we remain small and nimble in Canada. Because AI is reshaping what traditional roles look like, the boundaries between roles stay flexible. People pick up what the work needs and have a real voice in how we continue to improve our own work experiences. As a result, we commit time so that everyone has the opportunity to learn and grow significantly in their careers. We call our approach Make with Heart and Mind. We are looking for a Product Manager as we expand our impact with current customers. This posting supports the position to start between November 2026 and February 2027. The Role At Kablamo, our Product Managers are hybrid leaders who thrive in small, agile teams, wearing both the product and project hats to ensure our consulting engagements are well organized and deliver truly valuable outcomes. As Product Manager, you’re the strategic leader, partnering with clients to shape product vision and strategy and keeping the team focused on the “why”, so we solve the right problems and maximize business value. As Project Manager, you’re the pragmatic organiser, creating clarity and momentum by doing what works for each client, whether that’s running agile ceremonies or a fast-paced discovery on a simple Slack canvas, while managing risks, removing blockers, and keeping delivery smooth and predictable. The ideal candidate masters both worlds:

a strategic thinker who sets a compelling direction and an organizer who leads the team to execute it with excellence.

Responsibilities:
1. MAKE — Engagements That Deliver
- Accountable for delivering the engagement on time and on budget, working closely with the Delivery Principal and Technical Lead to ensure project success.
- Manage project scope, ensuring any changes are clearly defined, communicated and prioritized.
- Proactively identify, manage and elevate risks, issues and dependencies and remove any blockers raised by the team.
- In collaboration with the Technical Lead, own and maintain the product backlog, continuously evaluating work priority and sequence to balance tech debt remediation with valuable product deliverables.
- Coordinate team resources for the engagement, including the successful onboarding of new team members.
- Break down high-level business objectives and product goals into prioritized, modular units of work with clear acceptance criteria.
- Identify and manage security risks within the scope of your role, ensuring compliance with defined security controls.
- Lead workshops with our Business Development, Technical and Design teams to gather requirements, identify user needs and define product goals.
- Develop strategies and plans to drive user adoption and ensure the solution makes a meaningful impact.
- Set clear goals and measures of success, giving the whole team a shared purpose and direction.

- Analyze user metrics and present findings and recommendations to senior audiences.
- Leverage AI and agentic tools to streamline day-to-day project management work, such as status reporting, meeting summaries, risk tracking and documentation.
- Contribute to the automation and continuous improvement of delivery workflows across our toolchain (e.g., Jira, Slack, Google Workspace) to reduce administrative overhead and accelerate delivery cycles.
- Stay alert to emerging security threats, elevate them to the Risk Manager and Senior Leadership Team, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our security practices. 3. HEART — Care Is an Outcome
- Act as the client’s primary point of contact, managing communications and building a strong, collaborative partnership.
- Own the relationship with the client’s Product Owner, guiding them to ensure the work delivers on their core business objectives.
- Proactively provide concise and timely project updates and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Be the voice of the team, advocating for what they need to succeed and removing blockers in their way.
- Provide vision and direction to the project team, mentoring and coaching them to foster high performance.
- Facilitate key team meetings and ceremonies in a way that keeps the team engaged, aligned, and productive. Desired skills and experience
- 3+ years of experience in a relevant role such as Project Management, Product Management, or Product Design within a technology-focused (preferably Agile software development) environment.
- Experience with agile project management tools including Jira and Confluence
- Solid understanding of the SDLC, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support.
- Demonstrated
