Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, test, and document billing software components
- Integrate Stripe, Metronome, and other billing platforms
- Develop metering, pricing, rating, and reconciliation automation
- Monitor billing systems, usage data, alerts, and error handling




- Lead incident response and billing root cause analysis

Requirements:
- Backend engineering experience in billing, payments, or financial systems
- Knowledge of subscriptions, usage pricing, proration, discounts, and entitlements
- Experience with distributed systems, microservices, and event-driven architectures
- Proficiency with SQL, data modeling, APIs, and billing integrations
- Solid Go proficiency or willingness to work with Go Apply billing engineering, Go, SQL, and distributed systems expertise to strengthen Tailscale’s accurate, reliable billing platform.
