Lead ERCOT generation interconnection strategy remotely from the United States or Canada, using advanced power system modeling and technical expertise. Occasional travel may be needed. Electric Power Engineers seeks a Senior Power System Engineer with 5+ years supporting generation and transmission interconnection. You will manage complex studies, guide engineers, and serve as a technical expert throughout ERCOT interconnection processes. The work includes PSCAD, PSS/E, and TSAT modeling for solar PV, BESS, wind, and conventional projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead generation interconnection efforts across the ERCOT footprint
- Identify strategies using system impacts and grid capacity
- Perform EMT, benchmarking, and specialized grid studies




- Create and validate plant models for multiple technologies
- Mentor engineers and support proposals, knowledge, and conferences

Requirements:
- 5+ years in generation and transmission interconnection
- ERCOT process knowledge from filing through commercial operations
- PSCAD, PSS/E, and ERCOT Model Quality Testing experience
- Robust technical communication and organizational skills
