Laura Gatien & Associates (LGA) is a well-established counselling practice with offices in Saint John and Fredericton, dedicated to making mental health care accessible, understood and valued for all. LGA supports individuals and families through evidence-based care in a welcoming environment. After strong growth in recent years, LGA is adding a senior leader to run on-going operations across both offices. The goal of the role is to sustain and grow the meaningful impact this organization has on its clients and the staff who serve them. Reporting to the Founder and CEO, the Director of Operations & People will lead and develop a team of contract therapists and small administrative staff, keep both clinics running smoothly, and make sure people have what they need to do their best work. This role suits a mature, people-first leader who listens well, coaches rather than directs, and can see the big picture. The CEO will continue to lead the growth of the business, so this person can focus fully on the people and the operations. What you’ll be doing
- Supporting therapists to make the impact they're committed to making
- Leading, coaching and developing the administrative team, and helping each person grow in their role.
- Regular check-ins with Clinic Leads who oversee clinical standards and development.




- Tracking key metrics and finding out what helps or blocks people from meeting their goals.
- Overseeing on-going operations and facilities across the Saint John and Fredericton offices.
- Looking at how things work across the clinics and simplifying where it makes sense, so systems support people rather than add to their workload.
- Keeping the team connected to LGA’s mission and values, and building a culture where people feel valued and supported. What we are looking for
- 10+ years of experience leading people in an established, service based private sector organization, such as a branch, clinic, professional services firm or multi-site operation.
- Experience leading in a small to medium size business environment.
- A coaching leadership style with the maturity to stay calm under pressure.
- A big-picture thinker who can simplify processes without losing what matters.
- Comfort with metrics and the ability to turn numbers into helpful conversations with people.
- The confidence to work with people’s accountabilities and make tough decisions with care.
- A strong fit with LGA’s values and a belief that people come first.
- Based in Saint John with regular travel to the Fredericton. Compensation: $120,000
- $150,000 total compensation plus perks
