Lead municipal finance for the Town of Hinton, applying strategic planning and financial stewardship in a full time permanent role. Reporting to the Chief Administrative Officer, the Director leads Corporate Services and serves on the Senior Leadership Team. The work covers budgets, taxation, assessment, accounting, reserves, investments, grants, policy, and financial reporting. The Director also advises Council and may act as Chief Administrative Officer.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning and management of Corporate Services
- Coordinate operating, capital, and multi-year financial plans
- Manage taxation, assessment, reserves, investments, and grants
- Oversee accounting, utility billing, reporting, and audit preparation




- Advise Council and support Chief Administrative Officer decisions

Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in business, commerce, public administration, or related discipline
- At least eight years of progressively responsible supervisory experience
- Experience with financial planning, budgets, taxation, assessment, and accounting
- Municipal administration and municipal finance knowledge preferred
- Advanced computer, database, and Microsoft Office proficiency Bring municipal finance leadership, sound judgment, and transparent advice to Corporate Services in Hinton, Alberta.
