Guide CROR training, examinations, and qualified-employee audits while supporting railway safety and operating standards at Metrolinx. This Operating Practices Specialist provides railway subject matter expertise across Rail Operations, Signals and Communications, and CROR rules. You will collaborate with Training, operating stakeholders, and accident investigators to maintain compliance and support informed decisions. The position also contributes to curriculum oversight, trainer validation, and examination administration.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee audits of CROR-qualified operating employees
- Support CROR course curricula and trainer validations
- Provide examination proctor support for operating crews




- Review and issue operating rules documentation
- Support Rail Incident Investigations with railway expertise

Requirements:
- Canadian Rail Operating Rule and Operating Crew qualifications
- Demonstrated Railway Operations experience
- Working understanding of the Canadian Railway Safety Act
- Knowledge of policy, risk, change, and project management
- Ability to present advice, options, and recommendations Use railway operations experience and CROR training knowledge to strengthen compliance, qualification, and operating documentation.
