Apply advanced mechanical design and review skills to underground mining infrastructure while working from home anywhere in Ontario. Cementation seeks a Specialist Mechanical Engineer to provide expert technical leadership on complex mine contracting and engineering projects. The work spans mechanical concepts, equipment selection, system layouts, technical reviews, procurement, and construction support. You will help solve difficult engineering problems, guide project teams, and integrate safety into each design.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical calculations, equipment selection, and system layouts
- Conduct peer and technical reviews and stamp engineering work
- Identify long-lead items and prepare procurement scopes
- Support tender evaluations, vendor recommendations, and fabrication




- Respond to field enquiries and provide commissioning support

Requirements:
- Canadian-accredited Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Qualified Engineer registration with PEO or equivalent
- 15+ years' experience in underground mining or heavy infrastructure
- Experience across feasibility, IFC, procurement, installation, and commissioning
- Knowledge of Autodesk, mechanical analysis software, MS Office, and MS Project Use mechanical calculations, technical reviews, procurement knowledge, and commissioning experience to support Cementation's underground mining projects.
