Primary Role and Responsibilities

- Hands-on Production : Manage and execute the daily production schedule, ensuring custom orders, such as embroidery and heat transfers, are completed on time
- Team Leadership : As the team grows, train, supervise, and mentor production operators. Set daily output targets and ensure staff maintain high efficiency and morale
- Workflow Management : Work with Inside Sales to develop and implement daily or weekly production schedules to optimize efficiency and hit delivery deadlines
- Quality Control : Implement rigorous quality checks at every stage, from blank garment inspection to final print or stitch placement, minimizing waste and errors
- Equipment Management : Perform routine maintenance on machinery, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate repairs to avoid production bottlenecks
- Inventory & Supplies Control : Monitor stock levels for essential supplies like threads, inks, blanks, and backings, placing vendor orders as necessary
- Additional Roles and Responsibilities _

As a small independent business, we require our staff to be versatile and adaptable. We work as a team to ensure a high level of customer and employee satisfaction. Additional duties and responsibilities may include, but not be limited to cash handling, inventory, and shop tidiness/cleanliness. This role may require you to work occasional evenings or weekends executing community events, fitting nights or attending meetings.

- Preferred Skills _
- Hands-on experience with equipment like embroidery and heat press machines. Familiarity with Melco embroidery systems is a plus
- Highly organized with a proven ability to manage multiple client orders simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines
- Detail-oriented, with a sharp eye for design alignment, thread/ink color matching




- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to coordinate with sales staff, designers and other production staff
- Experience with digital design is a plus
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40lbs
- Qualifications and Education Requirements _
- 2+ years in apparel manufacturing or custom garment embellishment would be an asset

Reds Source for Sports is in the small city of Lacombe, in Central Alberta. We are independently owned but have the support of a national buying group and website. Our main store is located downtown and is a retail sporting goods store, offering team sporting equipment, clothing, and footwear. The Team and Corporate office and production facility is an 8min drive away from the retail store. Our staff members all have a passion for sport and have expertise in their field of activity. We work as a close-knit team to ensure a very high level of customer and staff satisfaction.

Pay: $33,000.00-$43,000.00 per year
